FC Brownsville Tamed Texas Division on Way to NISA Nation Finals

Jan 31, 2024

BROWNSVILLE, TX (January 31, 2024) – FC Brownsville was unbeaten on its way to becoming the first team from Texas to qualify for the NISA Nation National Championship.

Champions in the first season of NISA Nation's Texas Division, FC Brownsville (3-1-0 overall) scored a division-best 12 goals in four matches.

"FC Brownsville showed a lot of character and fortitude throughout the season," NISA Nation Director Matt Morse said. "We were very impressed by their players and what they showed at the NISA Nation National Championship. They gave NoVa FC, the eventual champions, a really good battle in the national semifinal and walked away from the experience a better club."

FC Brownsville allowed only five goals during the truncated Texas Division Fall season. The club aims to return to NISA Nation in 2024.
