ORLANDO (March 30, 2022) - NISA Nation welcomes Atletico Orlando as a founding member of the Florida region. Atletico Orlando kicked off their spring campaign this past Saturday with an impressive 2-0 win vs. Club Deportivo Lake Mary. Atletico is one of two clubs who represent the Orlando metro area.

“Our goals are simply to leverage the partnership to garner branding, team visibility, exposure and compete on a professional level,” says Club Founder and Head Coach Alejandro Flores. “Additionally, we’re seeking exposure for both the team and players alike that would attract sponsors and professional recruitment.”

Flores founded Atletico Orlando in 2017, and originally meant for the club to act as the development team to the Orlando Seawolves. In the five years since, the team has seen much success - accolades ranging from indoor soccer championships in 2017 and 2018, to back-to-back UPSL Division 1 playoff appearances. 

The club can attribute much of this success to the ideals it was built on.

“We believe in teamwork, learning, integrity, sportsmanship and commitment,” explains Flores. “We are committed to the community, with the purpose to make a difference in the lives of these young men.”

Atletico Orlando will play their next match against Inter United at Northeast Regional Park on April 3rd.
